The Gala Began with one voice, one guitar

and a became a song for something more.

This is a Gala send off with a clear choice.

One woman knows the road and my singing voice.

This journey is inspired by quiet conviction.

Love grounds us. Love lets us go on.

Choose love before the walk toward destiny.

Do not be cold. Do not be cruel.  Why

and what your deeds do is inevitable.

It is rooted in love.  It is estimable

but hard to send off those present here.

Walk toward the light on a path where

The destination is what is right and true.

Right the wrongs. Return to what is of value.

We must leave to show alternatives for

Darkness in the air where we catch breath, before

the unfair conflict outside our gates.

What we must do must not wait.

Use your intelligence against the darkness.

In our hearts we must choose goodness

And choose strength and resolution.

I have found love. I met a girl so fair.

Ours is a story of longing and power.  

That mythical romance anchors us.

It is, for both of us, the emotional truth.

I know I have the power for changing.

To stay with my love is my longing.

The intensity of changing forever,

can be lightened by love for others.

We will return to what remains, deepened.

The love we have, that lasts, is worth keeping.
